I've heard that it's hard to find. Some say we have something special going on here. I believe it. We've managed to wrap ourselves with an amazing group of friends here in the Ham. I think it is one of those things like when I grew up only 20 miles from the Cascade Range and thought everyone had a gorgeous view of the mountians, round the world. It was just normal. Well, same with Bellingham. We moved here, found like 30 people with whom we had most things in common, and we hang out almost every weekend together in some combination, for some reason or another. This is normal, right?
Most of the time we're playing a game that involves some type of disc: ultimate disc, disc golf disc, or a plate. Summer BBQ's, Poker Nights, Disc Golf Tournaments, Ultimate Tournaments, Backpacking Trips, Birthday Parties; you name it, we 've got it going on. This is what people find no matter where they live, right?
Apparently not so for everyone. Some people live in places where they don't have huge circles of fellow gardeners, bikers, bakers and athletes. Friends that all have babies within 3 months of each other. Friends that enjoy a quiet night near the beach as much as a ludicrous and intense game of ultimate and "man shots" during the day. Seriously, we have had so many good times here, that we're finding it hard to believe we could ever live anywhere else. Thanks everyone, for making life an adventure we look forward to sharing with you every day (well most days anyway). And to all of those reading this, I hope you know what I'm talking about, cause' you've found something just like this wherever you are. As a good friend of mine often reminds: Live the Life You Love and Love the Life You Live.
